Shira Benson has been a fashion designer since 2013 after graduating from North Carolina A&T State University with a BA in Visual Arts - Studio Design. She launched her own clothing company that features limited collections and custom pieces.

 

She specializes in prom dresses and wedding gowns, but also designs everything from men’s suits to bathing suits. Her pieces are recognizable through the bold colors and exquisite shapes she uses. Not only is she a designer, but an artist. Her paintings are brought to life when the garment becomes her canvas. 

 

Shira’s work has been featured on the Teyana Taylor Tour, MTV, FOX 5 DC, at New York Fashion Week, and in Ebony Magazine. She hopes people live out their own dreams while wearing her designs, while she gets to live out hers.
